Draught Beer System Check List For Your Bar

Temperature:
- Air temperature in the beer walk-in is 38 Degrees F
- Beer Temperature at the point of dispense is also 38 Degrees F
Draught Line Age:
- Vinyl beer line or Jumper line inside your cooler is less than a year old
Draught Beer Line Visual
- Clear Draught line is clear and easy visual inspection
- Free of sediment. No build up of beer stone one the beer lines
- Not dark brown, yellowish
Draught Beer Line Cleaning Log
- Recommended 14 Day Cleaning Cycle. According to the Brewers Association
- Gaps in service of more than 21 days require special attention and extra time to clean the beer system
- Seasonal Accounts require special attention to protect beer lines during off season
Gas Source
- Straight Co2 For Ales and Lagers 12-15 PSI ( For Direct Draw Systems)
- Blended Gases 60-75 percent Co2 for Ales and Lagers 22-25 PSI (Long Draw Systems)
- Pre-Mix Cylinders 25 percent Co2/ 75 percent for Nitrogenized beers ( Guinness and Wines)
- The right applied pressure on kegs should produce a full and clear jumper line. No bubbles
- Check the Primary Regulators daily and make sure you aren't running on empty during busy hours
- Make sure you always have a backup C02 Cylinder. If you are on bulk you don't need one
- Compressed Air Should never be used to dispensed draught beer
Faucets and Drip Tray
- Rinsed free of beer
- No Physical Buildup of beer soils or mold present
- Flush the drains with warm water and mild cleaning agent to prevent clogging from yeast
