Before you can actually use Oetiker clamps for connections, you’re going to need to have a pair of oetiker pliers.

You can find these pliers on Amazon above. I have been using the smaller blue pair on most installs. I just like the way they feel personally. Another option is the large Oetiker plier that is easier to crimp oetiker clamps as shown below. I use both and alternate between the two. The nice thing about the larger pliers is that they make crimping really easy, and you don't need as much hand strength for it.

Oetiker Clamp Sizes

1. 13.3 Oetiker Clamp - This is the smallest oetiker used in a draft beer system. Perfect for attaching high pressure air hose 1/4" I.D. to stainless fittings.
2. 14.0 Oetikers - Commonly used on beer trunkline, or ⅜ I.D. barrier tubing for long runs over 50’ in remote systems.
3. 15.7 and 16.2 Oetikers - Used in specific scenarios such as attaching airline coming off of a primary c02 regulator.
4. 17.0 Oetikers - Predominantly used in beer coolers when attaching the beer product line from the beer pump to the beer coupler.

How To Remove Oetiker Clamps

To remove an Oetiker clamp, you can either use the side clamp on the oetiker pliers or cut the top part of the clamp using the oetiker pliers until it breaks. Both methods work well and it's up to your preference.
