The Flojet Beer Pump and Reversal Valve Cleaning Equipment

The Flojet beer pump is a great piece of equipment for any long draw beer system. But when paired with the Reversal Valve, it can be used to clean your draft beer system. When cleaning a beer system the most effective method is with a recirculating pump. This cleaning method minimizes yeast, bacteria, and mold! Keeps the beer system clean, so beer tastes as the brewer intended. The Flojet Reversal valve. Allows users to recirculate cleaning chemicals throughout a beer system. When beer pumps are being used. In this post we talk about how these two pieces of equipment work together.

Flojet Beer Pump

The Beer Pump is a great addition to any long draw beer system. The Flojet Beer Pump is able to pump beer hundreds of feet away without changing the integrity of the beer. It also helps ales and lagers last longer because there isn't any nitrogen used on the beer as you would find in mixed gas. The only problem with the beer pump is it only pumps one way. So cleaning a beer system with these can be tricky. One way is to pump a cleaning solution through each line by tapping a coupler, submerging it in a cleaning solution and turning the beer pump on. This isn't as effective as the recirculation method with a reversal valve, but can work if it's your only option.

The most effective cleaning technique is using a recirculating pump. Using a pump to circulate chemical every 2 weeks through a beer system. When the Flojet Reversal Valve works with a beer pump this is exactly what happens.

Flojet Reversal Valve

The Flojet Reversal Valve is a great way to reverse the flow of beer. If you are using the Beer Pump and reverse valve together. It will allow for recirculation through your beer lines which can help get rid of yeast, bacteria, mold, out of beer lines. It also allows brewers to run cleaning solutions through their system with the Beer Pump. This is great for cleaning all parts of your system including couplers, and even draft beer towers!

Using the Flojet Beer Pump and Reversal Valve can improve the quality of your beer by minimizing yeast, bacteria, mold in lines. More importantly, deliver beer as the brewer intended. Let's Talk about how the Flojet Reversal Valve works in conjunction with the Beer Pump.

How The Flojet Reversal Valve Works

The Flojet reversal valve works by sliding into a beer pump. It's specifically designed for draft beer cleaning. The reversal valve makes it possible to change directions on a beer pump. So proper cleans happen every 2 weeks, as recommend by the brewers' association.

Typically the first line is reverse flow and every other odd line is in the reverse mode. After two weeks the cleaner would then switch the flow from the opposite direction starting at the last tap. This allows the beer system to be cleaned properly and efficiently.
